Who we are
Scayld Ltd (“Scayld”, “we”, “us”) operates this website. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@scayld.com. Registered address: [Registered company address — to be added].
What we collect
Enquiries. When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), the services you select, and your message.
Affiliate sign-ups. If you join our partner programme we collect your name, email address and any payout details you choose to provide.
Technical data. When an affiliate link is clicked we record the time, the page, the referring URL, the browser user-agent and an irreversibly hashed version of the IP address. We never store raw IP addresses.
Cookies and local storage
We use a single first-party functional cookie, scayld_ref, set for 30 days when you arrive via an affiliate link. It is used only to credit the referring partner and is not used for advertising.
Your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage. Site analytics are privacy-friendly and cookieless. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use your data
To respond to your enquiry and provide our services; to operate the affiliate programme and calculate any commission owed; and to keep the site secure and working well.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
We rely on your consent when you submit a form, our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, and contract where we are providing services to you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use trusted processors to run the site: Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting and cookieless analytics) and Resend (sending email notifications). They process data only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months unless you become a client, in which case it is retained for the duration of our relationship and as required for tax and legal purposes. Affiliate data is kept while the account is active and as needed to settle commission.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction or erasure of your data, restrict or object to processing, and ask for data portability. Email hello@scayld.com to exercise any of these. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
